Home Visit Weather Policy
At Oak Health Network, we are committed to providing quality home healthcare services. Because our staff travel to patients' homes, weather conditions may occasionally affect our ability to provide in-home visits.
The safety of our patients and staff is our highest priority. If weather conditions are unsafe, our staff may be unable to travel to your home. Decisions regarding home visits will be made based on the weather conditions on the day of the scheduled visit.
Light rain
Clear or fair weather
Low wind conditions
Light fog, when travel is considered safe
Snow or ice
Severe thunderstorms
Tornado watches or warnings
Flooding
High winds
Any other hazardous weather conditions that make travel unsafe
Our staff may use the weather application of their choice to monitor conditions. However, we recommend using Weather.gov as the primary source for weather forecasts and alerts.
If a visit must be postponed due to severe weather, Oak Health Network will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment.
